Biography

Music between
memory and the stars.

Benjamin Alba is a Brussels-based electronic artist and producer whose work moves between dream-trance, melodic trance and atmospheric electronic composition. Born on 30 July 1977, he traces one of his earliest musical memories to nights spent looking at the stars in the late 1980s—an image that still informs the wonder, distance and longing running through his music.

His catalogue connects an early series of singles released in 2010 with a renewed body of work from 2025 onward. The 2025 albums Children of the Stars and Proof-of-Dream expanded that world across long-form sequences, followed by singles including Meow, Je te cherche and Tonight Felt Different in 2026.

Across the catalogue, luminous melody and hypnotic movement meet close, detailed sound design. The music is built for immersion: emotional without excess, atmospheric without losing momentum, and consistently shaped under the single artist identity Benjamin Alba.

01

Creative process

Alba’s work begins with emotion, image and texture. He sometimes brings recordings of trams, aircraft, underwater environments, city noise and quiet rooms into the mix, placing fragments of lived experience inside an electronic space. The result is intimate and carefully made, with each sound refined by ear.

Influences

Robert Miles’ Dreamland, Enigma’s MCMXC a.D. and Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy are stated touchstones: dream-trance melody, mystical atmosphere and emotional connection.
